Welcome To The 1st CoMan (For Males)
- Ment (Mental Health Guides)
1. I'm Just A Man
I give myself permission to be. To be worthy.
I give myself permission to feel and express.
I give myself permission to be kind & compassionate.
I give myself permission to belong, love and be loved.
I give myself permission to receive.
(from greek Είμαι [eimai], I value my existence),
(from justice, and
I behave with valued human morals and fairness),
(A Human Being)
Who Are You?
To Know Thy Self, the most authentic you, you must understand yourself, values and strengths...
Physically, Culturally, Environmentally, Spiritually.
The 1st CoMan-Ment is
Dedicated to Michael Hutchence and the millions of males (fathers, uncles, sons, collegues, mates) who have passed from suicide, overdose or suffered mental health challenges.
Michael Hutchence wrote the song, I'm Just A Man with Andrew Fariss in the year before he passed away, in 1996. In the lyrics you can hear Michael speaking about his mother, father and brother and sister.
"I first heard this song in May 2017,
after Chris Cornell passed.
When I met Kirk Pengilly in July 2017
and with Chester Bennington passing,
I created Australias first,
Mens' Mental Health - Male Suicide Awareness Gala,
I'm Just A Man, from the final Hutchence INXS album,
and held on the anniversary date of his passing.
